Each product release includes corrections and enhancements. Significant products and modules are arranged in this document. It includes descriptions of features and capabilities. EIS systems are highly configurable, and the actual appearance and functionality within your agency may vary slightly from the descriptions given.

Document Convention

We have included a quick visual indicator to describe each item as either a product feature enhancement or a fix to an existing element. Items are not presented in any specific order within the document.

The NEW Icon indicates a new feature added to the application.

The UPDATE Icon indicates an update to a feature or function currently deployed.

The FIX-IT icon indicates a correction or a modification to an existing function currently deployed.

Deployment

EIS strives to deploy updates twice annually, specific deployment depends on contractual requirements, modules deployed, agency discretion, and specific agency problems or requirements. To discuss deployment or to schedule your agency for an update, please contact your account manager or EIS Customer Support 208-580-0400.

RMS Release Notes

INVOLVEMENT TYPES WITH THE EXIST FEATURE

Added – Users can now be prompted in supplementals when the involvement type is changed for a name that is existed

over from the base case. This addition has been added to assist agencies with ensuring they will continue to have the appropriate involvement types in a case before it is submitted to NIBRS. In a situation where you change a victim to a suspect on a supplement, this feature is aimed to help the user remember

to add a new victim if there was only a single victim in the base case.

*Contact support to have this feature configured.

Corrected – When using the exist feature in RMS Entry, the correct names will populate from the base report. This issue would occasionally occur for agencies participating in a regional multi-agency system configuration.

RELATED REPORT MEDIA

Added – Related reports are now even more meaningful. We have added the ability to import media items from a related case directly into your report. This is controlled by security object which means you remain in control of who has this capability.

AGE ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Added – Required fields can be a great tool to ensure your officers are completing all the necessary fields in their reports. Agencies can now require the date of birth and/or age fields on the person page.

*Contact support to have this feature configured.

OFFENSE DESCRIPTIONS WITH LIKE OFFENSE CODES

Corrected – In situations where State Crime codes may be duplicated, having varying descriptions, the user is now able to select the proper description and save the offense with the specific description that was charged.

STATE VALIDATION WITHIN RMS ENTRY

Corrected – State Reporting Validation has been corrected and will now run properly for agencies with versions of this module that is supported in RMS Entry. Please call EIS Support to inquire if this is available for your agency.

*Contact support to have this feature configured.

Added – We have added more functionality to media upload. Agencies who are currently using media upload now have the option to store new file types into RMS. Media upload now supports

.MOV and .MP4 file types. If your agency does not currently use media upload, please contact EIS Support for a proposal to add this capability.

DRIVER’S LICENSE SCANNING

Added – EIS now supports the ability to scan driver’s licenses from California and Idaho.

Additionally, we have added the ability to scan Military ID’s. Additional States include South Carolina, Florida, and Washington.

FIELDS LOCKING ON SUPPLEMENTALS

Corrected – In specific situations, fields in a supplemental would lock or turn grey and the user would be forced to close the supplement so the report could continue to be edited.

DELETION OF RECORDS

Updated – When deleting case reports, the MNI record for the person linked to the deleted case would remain in the MNI entry. The process of deleting a case record has been updated to now remove the linked entry that is retained in the MNI.

*Contact support to have this feature configured.

CHP-555 COLLISION REPORT

Corrected – The CHP-555 report, used primarily in California has been corrected. While working with existing names on the injured party page, users will no longer receive an error message. The issue has been corrected and users can now use this feature to import names

which are listed on the main page of the report.

California IBR

HANDLING OF VIOLATION CODES

Corrected – When entering an Offense in CAIBR by using F1 where the violation has multiple descriptions and CJIS codes, the CJIS code would change to the default CJIS code for selected violation. Users can now tab through IBR section of the Offense page and retain the original

CJIS code.

VISIBILITY OF IBR CODE STRINGS FOR CJIS CODES

Corrected – An issue for California agencies with the visibility of CJIS Codes appearing after the report had been saved has been corrected. When corrections are needed for an offense that was entered by officer, all the CJIS codes will continue to populate when the user editing the

entry selects F1 in the CJIS Code field.
