Law Records Management System Release Notes
January, 2021
This document describes the changes to EIS public safety software products included in the January 2021,
product release. The product release encompasses all EIS products, including RMS, JMS, and CAD. Each
product release includes many corrections and enhancements, but this release note focuses more on corrections.
This document is arranged by major products and modules. It includes descriptions of features and capabilities.
EIS systems are highly configurable, and the actual appearance and functionality within your agency may vary
slightly from the descriptions given.
Document Convention
We have included a quick visual indicator intended to show each item as either a product feature enhancement,
an update, or as a tangible fix to an existing element.
The NEW Icon indicates a new feature added to the application.
The UPDATE Icon indicates an update to a feature or function currently deployed.
The FIX-IT icon indicates a correction or a modification to an existing function currently
deployed.
Deployment
While EIS strives to keep agencies current, specific deployment depends on contractual requirements, modules
deployed, size and location of the agency, and specific agency problems or requirements. To discuss potential
deployment or schedules in your agency, please contact your account manager or EIS Customer Support.

The following Items are comprised of user interface corrections included within the RMS, specific to the
RMS Entry application.
Purpose Code No Longer Produces An Error

Module: Supplement
Corrected – Selecting a purpose code will no longer provide an error message when trying to save the
page on a supplement case.
Corrected Title Field In Multimedia
Version: 20.11.2.0
Module: Multimedia
Corrected - The title field in Media will allow any data entered when the field is not set to limited to a
list. When the field is limited to a list, data not in a table cannot be saved.
Comments Can Be Added And Saved To Media

Corrected – Comments can be added and saved to media.

Corrected CA IBR Data Not Saving To Property Segment

Module: CA IBR Reporting
Corrected – CA IBR data will save to the property segment if the clear button is pressed and new codes
are entered.
Validation Message Will Display Victim As Society
Version: 20.10.0.0
Module: CA IBR Reporting
Corrected – When there is one victim in a report, and they are related to two offenses and two offenders,
the validation message will display one of the victims as society.
In Report Validation For Race and Code Values

Corrected – When adding an offender, In report validation has been added to check for proper race and
code values.

Corrected IBR AND UCR Vehicle Validation Errors

Corrected – No longer receives an error message regarding the UCR Code in the vehicle UCR

The 00 NN, NB, And BB Values For Submission Will Save Properly

Corrected - The 00, NN, NB, BB values are auto-populated for submission. Enter the DOB to auto-
populate. If the DOB is unknown leave the value blank.
IBR and UCR Segments Will Populate From Involvement Type

Corrected - IBR and UCR segments will populate depending on the involvement type chosen, even
when changing from the victim-offender involvement type.
Corrected - The offender list is updating properly.
Corrected IBR and UCR Dual Entry Issue

Corrected - The UCR data and entry for cases entered prior to dual start date will remain available.
Corrected – IBR segments will display on a supplement case that has been created after the dual start
date when the base case was created prior to the dual start date.

The following Items are comprised of user interface enhancements and corrections included within the
RMS, specific to the RMS Florida IBR Confirmation.
Florida IBR Interface
Version: 20.12.0.0
Module: FL IBR Reporting
Added – The Florida IBR User Interface has been updated for state reporting as required by the Florida
Department of Law Enforcement. This release of RMS Entry will provide users with five different
reporting segments: Administrative, Offense, Name, Property, and Arrest. Enjoy the convenience of
having tooltips and a help button all at the click of a button on each segment to assist you when you need
it most. An overview explaining segments along with scenario examples will be available soon.
Administrative Segment
The Administrative Segment displays on the facepage of every case. If Use of Force is selected,
additional information is collected. The example that follows is of Use of Force.

Offense Segment
The Offense Segment is where IBR data will be reported on required Class A and Class B Offenses. This
segment will display the required/desired set of IBR reporting elements based on the selected offense.
The IBR code for Automatic has been added to the Type of Weapon table and is custom for Florida.
Name Segment
The name page is where the victim and offender's data are added to the IBR report. The specific
relationships between the offenses, victim, and offenders are defined. IBR fields display at the bottom
depending on the involvement type selected. In the examples that follow, Use of Force was selected on
the Administrative Segment on the facepage; therefore, additional fields display on the involvement types
that were selected.

Arrest Segment
Arrests will be reported on the RMS arrest segment attached to each of the case names. When an arrest
is entered into the RMS, the system will display the IBR required arrest data at the base of the arrest
screen.

Vehicle Segment
Property and vehicles are treated in the same manner under IBR, and as such, the property/vehicles IBR
elements appearing on both the property and vehicle screen function identically. The IBR property
segment will only appear on the screen if the case involvement code indicates that the property item
should be included in an IBR report (e.g., STOLEN, BURNED, RECOVERED, etc.). Items in non-
reportable involvement (e.g., safekeeping) will not display IBR fields.

Auto Hiding Of IBR Segments Clears Previously Entered Data

Corrected – Auto hiding of IBR segments will clear any previously entered data.
Added Tooltips On Use of Force Fields
