ABOUT THIS MANUAL
This manual is your guide to using the Law Enforcement Data System (LEDS). The manual is
only distributed in Adobe Portable Document File (PDF) format. To facilitate ease of use, the
manual is divided into sections, each having its own table of contents.
Various diagrams and colors are used to shorten the time required to locate specific data. The
following pages identify and interpret these key features.
Each item identified in the table of contents is hyperlinked directly to that topic in the document.
To use this feature, simply place the mouse over the page number, once it changes to a “hand”,
click the left mouse button one time and you will be immediately moved to the corresponding
section in the document.
The sections are divided as follows.
